November 2, 2021 – This fall in Chicago has been short and sweet. Really, it was more like a week of medium weather before a plunge into the cold. Luckily, this denim jumpsuit is timeless and season-less! And of course, it’s from an ethical fashion brand, ABLE, which is what we’re both here for.
Classic Denim Jumpsuit
I styled the jumpsuit for a fall/spring feel, but could easily add a cozier scarf, hat, and booties for the winter. Maybe I’ll do a styling reel at some point? We’ll see! My favorite part is that it’s so simple to wear and incredibly comfortable. ABLE’s denim isn’t rigid, but it’s still substantial. It’s also great for tall folks. I purchased a medium and it’s roomy in the torso/long enough in the inseam. That is truly wild for someone who pretty much always has to buy a large for length.
Refugee-Made Scarf
My scarf might look a little familiar to those of you who have been following me for a while (hi, guys!). And you would be correct – it’s a RefuSHE original! I think this might be one of my first scarves from when I started at the organization in 2015. It’s an old rendition of the Angie Honey Pomegranate and I wear it all the time because it goes perfectly with denim! These scarves make a great gift if you’re looking for something meaningful. 100% of proceeds go back to the young women in their social enterprise program. Win, win!
Sustainable White Sneakers
And last but not least – my Thousand Fell lace-up sneakers! I’ve had ups and downs with these guys. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my recent debacle with blisters… It’s taken me a while to break them in. But thanks to a great recommendation from someone to blow dry them while wearing fuzzy socks, they’ve loosened up and I haven’t had problems since! Which makes me happy because the company is super cool and makes their shoes out of sustainable materials. They have an innovative circular recycling program (recycle your shoes and they give you $20 toward your next pair). They’re also relatively easy to keep clean – for white sneakers – and a classic style that fit true to size.
